Back in June, I went to the third annual gathering of UK-based history librarians, which is always a wonderful opportunity to meet colleagues and continue learning about the field. Libraries matter enormously for the study and research of the past and it could be argued that the current situation is uniquely challenging for student and professional historians. What can those of us who work in libraries do to help?
The 2020 History Librarians Workshop provided some inspiration and answers to that question, and I am sharing my notes below in hopes that these might help other historians and history librarians with the challenges of the year ahead.
A recording of the workshop is available here.
